The short version: we collect the bare minimum to run the app, and we don't sell or share it. Updated 2026-05-10.
/api/extension/*.Your profile lives at inobara.com/u/yourname and is public by default. Any bookmark you mark Private is visible only to you. Your email and Google ID are never shown publicly.
The Chrome extension only talks to inobara.com. It reads the active tab's URL and title when you click Save so the form can pre-fill, and it uses your existing inobara session cookie to authenticate. It does not track your browsing, does not run on pages you don't act on, and sends nothing anywhere except inobara.
inobara's use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: data the extension handles is used only to provide the user-facing features of inobara (saving and managing your bookmarks); it is not transferred to third parties except as needed to run the service or to comply with the law; it is not used or transferred for advertising, including personalized or interest-based ads; and it is not used for any purpose unrelated to those user-facing features.
All traffic between your browser, the extension, and inobara is sent over HTTPS. Passwords are not stored — sign-in is handled by Google. Session cookies are marked secure and HTTP-only.
We keep your account and bookmarks for as long as your account exists. Server logs are kept short-term for security and debugging, then rotated out. When you delete a bookmark or your account, the data is removed from the live database; routine backups age out within 30 days.
You can view, edit, mark private, or delete any of your bookmarks at any time from your profile page. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email hello@inobara.com from the address tied to your account and we'll wipe it.
